Often called India's most beautiful trek. Over seven days you'll cross three high passes and camp beside a chain of turquoise lakes below Mount Harmukh. Certified trek leaders, local guides and full camping support are included.
Arrive in Srinagar, meet the trek leader for a briefing and kit check. Overnight in a hotel.
Drive about 3 hours to the base camp at Shitkadi near Sonamarg (2,730 m). Short acclimatisation walk.
Trek about 11 km through maple and bhoj forests and open meadows to Nichnai (3,505 m).
Cross Nichnai Pass (about 4,080 m) into wide meadows and camp by Vishansar Lake.
Climb Gadsar Pass (about 4,200 m), the highest point, with views of Vishansar and Kishansar lakes, then descend to Gadsar Lake.
A long walk through flower meadows and an army checkpoint (carry ID) to the Satsar lakes.
Cross Zajibal Pass to the twin lakes of Gangabal and Nundkol below Mount Harmukh.
Steep descent through pine forest to Naranag, then drive about 2 hours to Srinagar.
Transfer to Srinagar airport.
